Recently I read some “comments” from people who reblogged my posts that made me annoyed. They’re comments like “Why didn’t they draw [character A]??” or “Why did they draw [character B] like that???” That’s…not something I can answer, really. Fanartists are free to draw anything they want. Maybe they didn’t have time to draw character A/B/C. Or maybe they just simply didn’t want to draw character A. Maybe they prefer character C to character B. Maybe no interest at all. Artists are human too. I know some of you didn’t mean to ask me about it directly, but it still annoys me.
I still can tolerate that kind of comments, but then sometimes they added rude words like “bitch”. What. I mean, really? Who are you? Do you even know the person who drew that picture? Did you pay them to draw it? I’m grateful enough if someone drew series/characters I like. Sometimes the characters are too small. Sometimes they’re not complete (for a set). But I won’t bitch about it. I’m lucky enough to get to see them FOR FREE. Also because I’m aware that I’ll never be able to produce something as good as them.
Can’t you at least show some respect? Just imagine when you draw something and first comment you get is “Where is A he’s my favorite character.” Sure, most of fanartists whose drawings I post here won’t be reading your stupid comment. But doesn’t mean that you can say anything you want.
tl;dr You don’t pay the artists to draw so don’t complain about it
